We run competitions in New Zealand under two sanctioning bodies, the New Zealand Barbecue Alliance and The Steak Cookoff Association, both have great information on their websites.
To keep the competition fair, judging is completed in private, however we will have our MCs talk you through the process at prizegiving
The teams are always keen to talk about barbecue! However there is a lot on the line during a competition, they’re competing as part of a national championship and will be very focused during hand in times, so they might ask you to come back when there is less pressure. Otherwise keep an eye out for our schedule of demos and classes so you can really set up your cooking game.
