Joining the lineup: Legacy Band

The Legacy Band trio is a 3-piece band from Whangarei that plays a huge mixture of Blues, Soul, R & B and Funk.

Introducing Shilo Barbarich, a phenomenal guitarist-singer-song writer who ignites this power-trio. His influences range from Stevie Ray Vaughn, Joe Bonamassa, Dereck Trucks, John Mayer, William Bell; just to name but a few.

Featuring on Bass guitar, we have Paul Barbarich who is a true musician that knows his craft and how to hold down a solid groove.

Henry Beattie features on the drums and vocals. Over the years, Henry has featured
with Roy Phillips, Bob Denham, Mike Netmen, Fifth Ave, Bunny Walters, Juice on
the loose. More recently with the band “The Funky Jandal and the Murray Brothers”
and backing Eliza Zane from Austin Texas at the Bay of Islands Jazz & Blues Festival.

Legacy takes their music seriously – They have played internationally in Samoa to
help raise funds for Mental Health awareness. Various local and international festivals where they played with the likes of 2 K, Tony Painting and the Power and Billy T.K. Junior and the Groove Shakers. Jesse Valach, Minnie Marks, Robert Lock and The amazing Chihiro Yamasaki + Route14 Band.

The Legacy Band NZ have had a longstanding relationship with The Bay of Islands Jazz & Blues Festival and its organizers, they’ve always been a hit with the crowds and musicians alike.

2022 had us travelling to the first NZ Blues & BBQ festival and we are very much looking forward to returning this year.
The Legacy Band’s main goal is to provide its listeners with pure entertainment that won’t be forgotten, and where their style of Blues will have you dancing all night long!
