The Legacy Band

The Legacy Band

Legacy Blues quartet is a 4-piece band from Whangarei that plays a huge mixture of Blues, Soul, R & B and Funk.
Introducing Shilo Barbarich, a phenomenal guitar player-singer-song writer who ignites this power-quartet. His influences range from Stevie Ray Vaughn, Joe Bonamassa, Dereck Trucks, John Mayer, William Bell; just to name but a few.
Featuring on Bass guitar, we have Paul Barbarich who is a true musician that knows his craft and how to hold down a solid groove.
Henry Beattie features the drums and vocals. Over the years, Henry has featured
with Roy Phillips, Bob Denham, Mike Netmen, Fifth Ave, Bunny Walters, Juice on
the loose. More recently with the band “The Funky Jandal and the Murray Brothers”
and backing Eliza Zane from Austin Texas.
Allan Nicholas who is originally from Auckland rounds off the quartet. Allan was
handed his 1st Harmonica at the age of 13. His cousin presented one to Allan with
the only instructions being, to “Blow & Suck”. He taught himself to play listening to
records of Sonny Terry, John Mayall and Paul Butterfield.
Legacy takes their music seriously – They have played internationally in Samoa to
help raise funds for Mental Health awareness. Blues festivals where they played
with the likes of 2 K, Tony Painting and the Power and Billy T.K. Junior and the
Groove Shakers.
They also performed at the 2016 Ngapuhi Festival under “Shilo-B and Ta Moko” where they helped release Shilo’s original songs live to Northland.
Legacy’s goal is to provide you with pure entertainment that won’t be forgotten, and
their style of Blues will have you dancing all night long!
